Well got my iMac today finally, thanks for those who helped on my quessi.
Also got airport extreme (how easy is it to set up! god! plug it in and it works! the hours i spent slaving over my last one in vain)

Also got an iSight, even though I don't no anyone with iChat. Anyone fancy a chat so I can practice with my new toy?

Here are the pictures of my iBook and iMac.

First my iBook alone in my room with my Lacie drive, iCurve, wireless keyboard and mouse and iPod 20g colour.

Second I have two pictures of the iMac and iBook together as I am using them now with a second iPod, second wireless mouse and keyboard. Have got speakers with them, built into airport so can do them wirelessly from iMac of iBook. Then there's the iSight on top, rubbish printer etc.

And yes they did fit the RAM for me. I called in the morning, they reseved one for me as I asked. Came in they got it all sorted for me. Paid for it all together, he went off and put in the RAM. And came back and said he forgot to charge us VAT so that was another £200!

The guy who served was shocked to see £ 1500 in cash (as was I) wish I used - he counted in twice himself and then the manager also did it twice.

Cheers,
jon

gorgeous machine-- I would know since I have one too! Woo hoo! Congrats! :D

I'm sure you will be as satisfied with your iMac as I am with mine.

(Bought it beginning of August, I still every now and then will swivel it so I can look at it from all angles...sheer beauty. :D

Ye your right, it is perfect combo with iMac and iBook. Unforunatley when I go off to uni next year, the iMac is staying here. :(

All you need now is Doom3 & a good flight simulator. Congrats. nothing like a new machine.

Speaking of flight simulator, my biggest lament about switching is that I will no longer be able to use MS FS-- I know Flight-X is a better simulatio but the scenery just isn't the same. It's ironic, since mac folks tend to be visual.

Congrats on your new 20" iMac G5 john_satc! They are very nice computers. In fact, I am typing this on a 17" 1.6GHz iMac G5, and I love it. The iMac G5's rock! :)

Enjoy your new Mac john_satc! :)

Cool :) I've been enjoying my 20" iMac at work for about a month now. It's an outstanding machine.

20" iMac G5 at work! Very nice MattG.

At the credit union that I work at, we are stuck using Dell Optiplex desktops w/ bundled Dell LCDs.

Nice one! Did they install the extra RAM for you? I seem to recall you asking about buying extras from the store.

Very nice~

Love my 20" iMac with BT keyboard and mouse (though the mouse seems to chew through batteries).

The Dark Lord works in mysterious ways, his minions of mice for example!
LOL

Nice setup john_satc! :)
The iMac G5 and your iBook make a nice team.

Thanks for the pics btw, it is always nice to see people's setups. :)
