So I bought a used MBP. In order to get all my stuff over do I

A) Restore system from backup (when I choose this it says "only restore to a computer that was the source of the backup", which obviously isnt the new one)

B) Use migration assistant?

Thanks : )

When I've purchased a new Mac, I aways restore from a Time Machine Backup when asked.

Just plug in my USB hard drive and away it goes.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, I chose not to and now I'm thinking I should have just done that. After OSX finishes installing I'll check out migration assistant and see what I think. Thanks.

Although it's been stuck at "About 31 minutes" for about 20 minutes now.

OK so OSX was installed and on first bootup I just did transfer from time machine backup. Whatevs.
