PowerPCs will NOT support Snow Leopard, as Snow Leopard and Lion are built around Intel processors only. You're pretty much stuck with Leopard on that machine.
You've got 10.5.6, run software update and you can get 10.5.8. You can't go to 10.6 or higher though since they're Intel only. Have fun
