Got past "pay for wifi" at hotel using iPhone jailbreak

Neat workaround:

Currently staying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and am at a hotel that makes you pay $12.99 a day for WiFi connection. Couldn't get on with my PC or iPhone withouy paying. Well, I learned that I COULD connect using Cydia. When I clicked on it it updated and loaded like normal. I also found I could still install new apps over WiFi. Hmmm... Well, after I used Cydia I went back to Safari and...Bingo! Now have full access! I have two iPhones with me currently (long story) both Jailbroken and it work for both phones!

Just though I'd pass that along. Your results may vary...

How does this work - isn't the Wifi network protected? How is it getting around the password/encryption?

this could be a great find for airports. they are always making you pay for wifi
