Less then a month ago I got a macbook pro 15 inch, 3.06 custom config.

It had a dead pixel, and that infamous HD click/gulp/beep thing. Also the superdrive made a lawn mower sound which was nice.

I kept it for awhile and finally got Apple to send me a replacement which came today. So far no beeps, no dead pixels and the superdrive is good.

What I did notice is that this HD has some noise when it's accessing it. The other drive was completely silent except for click/beep.

I just wanted to know if other people hear slight noise when it's accessing the drive. I just want to make sure it's normal.

There seems to be a new revision # on my new macbook compared to the old one.

This is the new macbook drive info.

As you can see they are the exact same drive, just a new revision. Is this a firmware revision or an actual physical drive change? I'm wondering if that is the supposed fix for the click/beep issue.

Just wondering folks!
Thanks.
