I got some water into the trackpad for macbook retina 15" and now it keeps jumping around, clicking even when I'm not using it. I already tried to dry out the edges by putting a receipt in-between the gap of the trackpad and macbook retina . What are the best ways to fix this ?

how long should I wait for it to dry ? I just turned it off and unplugged it for about 6 hours, trackpad still the same .

It could already be damaged, or it may take a day or two to dry. Be prepared to take it in for service.

Trackpad replacement is extremely expensive on a rMBP as it includes the entire top case, keyboard and battery. Had mine changed under AppleCare cause it was making a crunching noise when clicked.

As others stated, give a few days, it take a while for the water to dry up.

I also recommend getting a laptop stand like mStand as it will keep your mbp elevated.
