my web hosts email service was really starting to suck sometimes of someone sent me a file it could take a hour to get it. that I think they could fix but I also go enough spam (the same ones) it was getting pretty annoying. so I wanted a push email account. kerio seemed a good choice and it was only 6.50 a month. with a new web host it was only a few dollars more a month.
well the push email and calendar and contacts are pretty much instant to my phone or to the web. I do like googles calendar better so you can't have everything. so I got it all working and I find my battery actually last longer then when I had google push and checking my pop account every 15 minutes.
so that's really nice. if possible I ranter put calendar things on the web as it is easier.
the only bad thing is unlike most pop accounts I would have to pay 6.50 a month for each email account. so I use alias's and make separate folders for each one. here is the other cool thing using imap I can sync any or all of the folders with thunderbird. now the cool thing I can drag and drop my old folders int this account and they are uploaded. Now I can sync thunderbird at work with home.
like having mobleme without all of the bugs.
