It'd be nice to see this revision of the iPhone have the ability to communicate with more satellites than just a GPS one.

Then you could download an App from Sirius or XM and listen to your satellite radio subscription.

Gah, probably not with this revision. But hopefully the next? Or is that too much ability for one device?

It is unlikely that they would add something that raises the cost of producing the phone but would only entice a handful of users to buy one.
 
People are never happy...
You wanted 3G and a GPS,
Apple happily gives both of those to you and now you want more!

Why do that if they could do a net broadcast of the channel, and you get it OTA?

Starplayer is going to have a Sirius app by the fall or something that will let you listen to your sirius sub over internet. You don't need satellite feed.
