Does anyone use an se Apple Watch while surfing and using the gps , I use the Waterspeed app , if so how long is your battery lasting ? In normal everyday day use my watch performs great but now I’m lucky to get one hours battery life while using gps , this issue started with watch os 10

When I use tracking apps, the battery life is slightly less. GPS may not be the problem; it may be using more power trying to connect to cellular, wifi or bluetooth. Try turning on airplane mode and also turn off bluetooth. This will turn off all radios except GPS and NFC. Also turn on water lock.
Nevertheless, 1 hour battery life is not right. How is battery health percentage?
Unless you have an Apple Watch Ultra and AppleCare, I think surfing with an Apple Watch is not a good idea, despite the marketing materials about waterproofness. Water damage is not covered by the normal warranty.

Thanks for replying, battery health is 83% , the problem only become apparent after the watch os 10 , it is the cellular version, I’ll try what you suggest, it’s more windsurfing and wing foiling I use it for and up till now it’s been great

if you haven't yet, you might also try unpairing and re-paring the watch, you can restore from backup, so you shouldn't loose anything but the hour or so or time it takes to do.

I've had an update corrupt something in the background, and my battery was atrocious, unpairing fixed it.
