I just noticed when I was looking at the Tech Specs on the AW5, that it says the GPS is listed as:
  • GPS/GNSS
Which is the basic array of GPS Satellites. On the Apple Watch Series 4, the GPS is listed as:
  • GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS
For most, this won't make much difference, but for those who are the Fitness crowd, this means that if you run, bike, or hike in tree areas, or are "downtown" your GPS coverage will be MUCH poorer. The GLONASS, and Galileo arrays add much more available satellites to keep your coverage connected, plus give much more accurate readings.

I'm wondering if they changed the GPS chip in the watch for the S5, or if it's simply an oversight. Not important to some, but extremely important to others. Anyone know for sure?
