GPS for iPad Using iPhone Tethering?

Hi,

Orignally I am waiting for the iPad 3G because it will be cool to see your location in a big screen, using GPS of course.

I wonder if I can acheive the same result with iPad WiFi + iPhone 3GS tethering?
