GPS maps on Mac

I am looking at buying a Garmin GPS unit for use when mountain biking. I have done a little bit of research into this. There appears to be several sites in the uk to purchase maps to download to your pc, mark your route then upload to the gps unit. But I am struggling to find software to do this on a mac. Has anyone got advice or links.

Interestingly enough, I purchased the Garmin BlueLogger about 2 months ago. I bundled it with Mobile Street Atlas 2005 for PC/Palm for $150.

Last Monday I was driving from Dayton to Oklahoma City, so I set it up and tried to use it on the drive down. It kept dropping the signal, over and over and over again... bluetooth just crapped out. I eventually closed the Latitude cuz I was sick of it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend that series. I've heard great things about the Earthmate series and the software (Street Atlas full) cannot be beat for waypoint styled navigation. Taking waypoints, dropping them into Street Atlas, printing maps and exporting... for work I have and have used Garmin IV and V's. Great pieces of hardware. I'd recommend a Garmin V to anyone... really a quality tool.

As far as software/antenna solution for the mac... there's a few, but I don't have much experience with them:
