I purchased my iPhone 3GS from Vodafone NZ in October 2009 and for some reason, the GPS has stopped working.

It doesn't work on apps like TomTom or the 'Maps' application. It just tells me 'Your location could not be determined'

Once, it actually found my location:

The funny thing is ... I don't even live in Perth. I live in a different country.

What should I do before contacting Vodafone NZ for potential warranty repairs?

Did you check Settings? Go to Settings > General and check Location Services, this option must be turned on.

Solution from another post.....

Go outside to an unobstructed view of the sky - no trees / etc..

Go to Settings, General, Auto-Lock, and set it to Never
Go to Settings, General, Reset, and click Reset Network Settings

The phone will reboot

Turn off the Wifi Message
Go to Maps and allow the phone to remain on for about 3 minutes.

All GPS should work fine now!
