T-Mobile is running a deal on the Series 7. I can get the 45mm for $10/month for 24 months, but you also have to get the $10/month service. So you're paying $480 over 2 years but getting the service as well, and can then cancel the service or downgrade to the $5 monthly plan.

The other option is buying the watch elsewhere for $379 (give or take) but then still have to pay for monthly service if you decide to activate it.

I can't decide if I want/need the cellular option or not.

I have cellular enabled. Use it a few times weekly... at gym (phone is in locker) and sometimes when I bike or walk. For me, it's a luxury add-on, a perk of sorts and not a necessity. I like it.
Thanks, that's what I'm thinking also. Would be nice to have, but not a necessity. I think I'll go with the T-Mobile deal.

You can stream live radio on Apple Music... I stream CNBC, NPR, ESPN, etc. sans iPhone using the Radio tab. I have this setup on iPhone so the last used stations appear on watch when I'm out and about with only my watch. Good luck!

And if something ever happened to your phone you would have the ability to text and call from your watch. I like how T-Mobile’s price is $10 bottom line.

edit: I also like 3% daily cash back using Apple Pay with Apple Card for autopay at T-mobile.

Yes, you can text and call from the watch. I had a flat on my bike last year and used watch to get ride... I text all the time on watch when phone is not with me. $10 is about the norm (I'm on Verizon).

I've only just bought mine with cellular a few weeks ago and LOVE it!! Not having to lug my Iphone 13 Pro Max out for a walk/run, but still to be reachable and receive notifications is AMAZING and well worth the additonal monthly spend
