I know that if you are carrying your phone with you, the watch uses the phone's GPS. I also know that if you aren't carrying the phone, the watch uses the watch's GPS. Using my iPhone 8+, and my Series 3 SBSS, the tracks using either when walking leave quite a bit to be desired.
So, here's the question. Does anyone know, or have an idea, or has anyone seen if there's any improvement in the watch's GPS chip? I understand that I'll not get "perfect" GPS tracks due to the inherent (+/- 15 Ft) inaccuracy of the GNSS system, but to see a track that is on a straight path that looks like a sawblade is to me, not what I would expect. Any help?
Thanks
