We have had a few days to play around with the aGPS feature and I look forward to other readers' reactions. I'm had an HTC Touch Cruise with "real" GPS with Tomtom.
I'm not pleased with the iPhone aGPS and look forward to a software manufacturer allowing me to pay for and download a continental map and features such as turn by turn directions and auto correction when you take a different route. When one gets directions on the iPhone, the multiple page map does not refresh with the movement of the blue dot - very silly indeed.
Also, I find the blue dot really lags behind where I actually am. Do others agree? Any ideas on how to improve performance to make it more accurate or is the iPhone aGPS hardware simply not as accurate as the HTC? Also, is there a way to prevent the screen from dimming only when in aGPS mode? That's also a bit silly.
