Did some searching, couldn't find a definitive answer...
Here's the scenario, after almost three years, I finally dropped my iPhone 3G. It now has a rattle inside.
Not a scratch on it (has had an Invisishield skin since new), but Wifi doesn't connect unless I am within inches of the router, and it will not get a GPS fix. It's able to figure my approximate location by cell triangulation, data over 3G works fine, and calls can be made and received.
Are the GPS and Wifi Antenna all on one assembly? Also, the audio through bluetooth is a bit scratchy. I'm wondering if a connector may have come loose, or if it's more serious than that.
I can limp along for a hopeful September release of the next iPhone iteration, but I do so enjoy the GPS...
