So I got this really cool 3D Matrix-style screensaver. Very pretty. But whenever it runs, my fan screams like a banshee. My trusty Temperature Monitor says my GPU has hit 150º F.

Should I ditch my lovely new 'saver, or is it okay to let the sucker run for a limited period (5 or so minutes at a go)?

I'm running it on a 12" PB 1.33 Ghz.

Thanks, in advance, for advice.

You can check out the screensaver here, if you like.

GPU at 150 isnt bad... if it gets too much hotter maybe. I've seen my processor temp get up to 165 and everything was ok... I was about ready to flip my PB over and fry an egg... lol :p

Your computer has been tested to run at extremely "hot" temperatures. Unless a component fails, you have no reason to worry (as long as you still have the warranty).

Keep your PowerBook in a room within its operating temperature, and don't worry.

Temp monitor is cute, but unless you're overclocking... ;)
