Got a few PPC G4 systems that I'm configuring and want to bench mark their performance. What's best for GPU. Iv used xbench and also geekbench. For some odd reason xbench opengl on the powermac G4 isn't that good when comparing it to the iMac g4. That's the Radeon 9000 Pro Vs geforce 4 MX. The quartz is good but open GL isn't so. Can anyone think of some other benchmarks. Thanks

That would be because a Radeon 9000 Pro is way better than a Geforce4 MX. So it will naturally score higher.

I've found xbench to be fairly unreliable, I did a bunch of tests on my various PPC Macs and had random results that didn't make sense. I made a thread on here about it somewhere. PowerBook G4s were beating dual CPU G5s, and some G3s with the same disk read\write scores as fast G4s and G5s.

Openmark is probably the best to use for just GPU scores.
