Hello, I currently have the base model of the 15 inch MacBook Pro and I was hoping to see the differences between the Radeon 555x and the 560x.

The reasoning for distinguishing between the two different GPU's is largely because I avidly play World of Warcraft on the go. I have found to get mediocre frame rates when playing on the 555x model. I was hoping to see if anyone out there plays on a model that has the 560x GPU?

I am not largely dead set on exchanging to the better model, but I would love to know the differences that folks have ran into. I know the additional storage is a benefit as well.

World of Warcraft is secondary to my primary uses, which is Ableton Live, Xcode, and premiere pro.

Neither option is a great gaming GPU, but there was a discussion on the World of Warcraft forums that might help you decide the value.

Thanks for passing that along. Echoing my previous post, this is largely just to pass time in a hotel room, I have a "gaming rig" but I find myself more productive on Mac OS, so I opt using Mac OS and the IDE is far superior to VS (for me)

I get it, though I am more of a “seasonal” player. I play some in the winter months. MacBook Pro isn’t ideal for it, but it will do it and obviously there is an improvement with the better card.
