Hello guy's
I have an mid 2010 MacBook Pro..which was said to have a failed gpu ( the only one gpu it have). I've seen dot's and blue lines on it and starts to restart sometimes ...and overheating. And the os was running fine..but restarts abruptly..Is there anyway to make it work normal..that would be a life saver.. guys please help me out.

Pretty common problem for MacBooks of that era, what are your full system specifications? Model number etc.

Some people have had luck disabling the dGPU and running their systems off the iGPU instead. But that depends on your configuration.

It's running on Sierra with Intel core 2 duo processor and Nivida GeForce 320M 256MB yeah pretty much old system but.. it's showing "errors found with disk partition map which is preventing system from booting" when I ran first aid on Hitachi disk (the internal sata hard drive) when I took it to the technician without opening the board he told "gpu failed" seeing the dot's on start up and flickering while using and overheating issues...If someone helped with this... it'll definitely be a life saver!

The Core 2 duo does not have an internal GPU of its own (if I recall), so a failed GPU is a motherboard replacement/bin job. There's no possibility to disable the discrete GPU, its the only one in the machine.

Yes the only gpu it had is fixed to motherboard...you think the symptoms what I told is confirming gpu failior some other issue? If the gpu is damaged any other alternative to bring back MacBook to life?

Why do you not believe the technician who has access to the machine to see it in person?

The symptoms do sound like GPU failure to me. If that's the case, the machine is essentially dead.
