Hi guys
We have a number of Macs in our household which are prone to GPU failures - my own 2011 15” MacBook Pro with the Radeon 6750m, a 2008 iMac with the Radeon Pro 2600 and a 2010 iMac with the Radeon 5750.
None of these (touch wood!) have ever experienced any GPU failures from new and I wondered if there are any ways to try and prolong this over and above what I already do. The thermal paste has all been recently replaced with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut and they are all running Macs Fan Control to keep temps below 60c. I dust them regularly. The 2010 iMac gets quite heavily used for games but the other 2 are mainly for light browsing and streaming.
Anything more that can be done to look after these I’m not already doing?
Thanks!
