Such an amateur mistake but I wasn't unscrewing with enough downward force (rummaging in a bag of chips - of the potato kind - with my other hand probably didn't help) and I've managed to strip the head on the UB Macbook's HDD retaining bracket screw. It's not entirely a lost cause and thankfully I won't have to drill it out as it will still engage to a degree but I just hate living with stuff like this.

Is there anywhere I can easily get a replacement instead of the interminable conversation with Apple Spares while the moron at the other end plays 200 guesses at what it could be? (prefer UK supplier)

I was able to find it Here but have been unable to find a UK supplier. At least they're out there finally so keep searching the Mac parts places. -GDF

Any Apple dealer can order them. I had to get a set of screws for the bottom plate. It cost $35 CA and took one day to arrive.
