Grabbed a upgraded DA.

I was perusing eBay earlier this evening and I saw a listing for a G4 upgraded to 1.4Ghz. It was sitting at $29 and seeing that the upgrades alone are much more than that, I watched it. Well, insomnia is my friend in this case. I bid in the last few minutes and snagged it for $52. Anyone know which PPCs share the same CPU card?

I believe the DA shares quite a bit in common with the QS G4s. I'm jelly though, my DA is 466MHz and is slow. But hey I won a Latitude E6400 for $52 last night on ebay lol

Gav, I believe those have some expensive RAM. Like Non-ECC Unbuffered. an 8GB kit is like $140 +. I want a Thinkpad T43, but we have a 2.4GHz E4310 with an SSD and 4GB of RAM (soon to be 8GB).

It depends a little on the upgrade, but it should work in nearly any G4 tower apart from the MDD. The later versions of the G4 (e.g. 7447) have a larger cache and a firmware patch is needed.
