iPhone Grace Period settings question

I must or need a setting for the maximum grace period device lock. And the required settings that i need to set are below. Question is, what do they mean by this? I need examples please.

15 minus value for maximum auto-lock time.

The required maximum auto-lock settings are 1-15.
