Apparently, the new video card in the MB is about as fast as a G4 1.0ghz cpu. With the advent of Grand Central, could one expect huge speed bumps on the new MBs with snow leopard? If so, anyone has a clue how much?

I'm personally guessing something equivalent to a .5ghz bump to the processor for highly repetitive and small instruction based things such as video encoding and possibly something rather small for regular computing and probably will only be evident on apple's software at first...

Anyways, I find it odd that Steve didn't use it as a selling point during the keynote, especially with the mbp sporting 2 video cards...

Given what we know about Grand Central it looks more like a simpler API for developers to schedule tasks across multiple processors.

Keep in mind that the all dedicated video card options can give their users the benefits as well.
