Grandfathering plan, ATT?

I have a 3GS and unlimited data and I hear that you can grandfather it for the new Iphone 5.

Where do I HAVE to buy it from to make sure they grandfather my old plan?

for example at an ATT store of can I go thru Apple to pre order it?

I preordered my IP4S last year through Apple without loosing my data plan. If your uncomfortable though you can always call into the AT&T Reps. My suggestion is to make them clarify over the phone that it doesn't effect your unlimited data plan. They'll say NO and go on. I'll have to call in myself this year to steal an upgrade from another line since AT&T isnt moving up my upgrade date.

Either AT&T, Apple, Besbuy, walmart, radio shack, Target etc....
If you have an unlimited plan they will all be able to keep it when updating to the new iphone.
