I've been using Photoshop for a while now and I mainly produce online content (some print here and there). I also do a lot of Audio work in Ableton and I'm a casual gamer (Xbox Series X). I've been torn trying to find the best balance to have one monitor that basically does it all (if I had more room, I would certainly get two separate monitors).

Has anyone found themselves in the same situation? Monitors are sure hard to come by given the chip shortages, but even aside from that - it seems that there aren't a lot of options when it comes to this specific area. I thought I stumbled on the sweet spot with the LG GP950 (4k - HDMI 2.1 - 120hz refresh rate). While it looks great, there are some hiccups with it. I notice the monitor sort of "flicker" when using it with my MacBook. Seems to be constantly readjusting (minimal, but noticeable). There's also no "eye care" when gaming. No option to have some sort of low blue light mode enabled. My previous BenQ monitor had this feature and it really helped if I was going to sit down for an hour or two to game.

As far as resolution is concerned, I'm considering downgrading to a 1440p monitor from BenQ which will have the eye care feature, but fear that maybe thats not a high enough resolution for the graphic design work that I do. (I upgraded from a 1080p before this monitor, so the difference is very clear). I'm currently using a 2015 15inch MBP but my 14 inch Pro will be delivered next week (wonder if that will solve the "flickering" issue).

Any monitor advice or solutions from people in similar situations would be greatly appreciated!
