Hi, I just joined this community, so hello to everyone :)

I'm a hardcore graphic designer using PCs for like ages and I'm really considering buying a Black Macbook/Alu Macbook. I've been reading discussions on the forum for months now and I still got some questions. Since I'm a Windows user and on a tight budget, I really need some answers to my question from people who actually went through related issues if I'm gonna buy a mac.

The first thing I wanna know is that whether it's worth the mess for a designer to switch to a mac from PC or not. I'm from a third-world country and I don't really intend to pay for Adobe softwares in near future, even though I know for a fact that cracking software is not really illegal in this part of the world till 2013, but I still want to use the registered copies of Adobe softwares that I already have on my PCs on the macbook. I guess here's where Boot Camp steps in, I know it can run widnows but I'm still not sure whether the trackpad's gonna be good enough for me if I was running windows, even though I don't intend to use it on a day to day basis for graphic designing, I got my desktop for that, I just want a macbook and that's all. I heard that the tapping doesn't work on black MBs if running on Widnows, I just wanted to know if it's really inevitable or I could use a third-party (free) software to fix this issue.

After hearing about this issue, I put my eyes on the new alu MBs but I also came to know that the trackpad issues are worse on the new ones even with the latest updates installed. I'm really getting more and more confused here since I've never ever used a mac before, and when I say never, I really mean that. So I guess you guys are gonna ask me why I just use OS X as my native OS and throw away windows and forget about it, well, I'd very much like to do that but as I mentioned above, I don't really have that kind of budget to buy a new set of mac softwares, I heard that crossweaver's (not sure if I'm spelling it correct) a very good option if I wanted to use my PC softwares on a mac, I just wanted to know if it's gonna be same as running Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, flash under CrossWeaver as running them directly under OS X? Is it gonna be any better than running them on Widnows via BootCamp or Fusion? I'm really scared about the trackpad actually, not sure if it's gonna be of much use on Widnows, but then again, I don't have the money to buy Mac softwares.

I hope you guys understand my situation and not going to judge me. I just need some answers.

Thank You~
**Please pardon my english if it's hard to understand.

P.S. One more thing, I have this broadband modem connected to my PC via USB port, is it gonna work on my Mac too? I know you guys are gonna ask me to look in the user guide, but I already lost it, and since it's a china product, I don't think I'm gonna be able to find anything on the net about it. So the basic question is- do the hardwares usually work on Macs too?
