Graphics Card for After Effects

Hi,

I have a Intel Mac running OS 10.4, although I am hoping to up this to leopard soon. I've been reading on here about graphics cards and am getting a bit confused, especially about "flashing cards". Does anyone know what this is? Also if anyone can recommend a good card to speed up my after effects and photoshop work I'd appreciate any ideas.

Whenever I find a good card it seems to be for a PC only, with the Mac one about twice the price!

Thanks for the link. If anyone has any ideas about what card to buy that would be great. I'm currently using a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT on a 2.66 Dual core intel mac pro and could do with something beefier.

Try posing your question over in the MacPro forum - it'll get a lot more traffic learned in MPs and probably a quicker answer.
