graphics editing

are there any free graphics editing programs already on a mac or that i can download for free that are similar t microsoft's paint? i am trying to change to alter a logo. if anyone has any suggestions or can help i would appreciate it.

none come shipped with OSX which is sort of ironic with the history of the mac OS,

but "seashore" is a great free one,
