Graphics Glitches - related to Combo update?

MY Mac Pro was running perfectly expect bad ethernet problems

i reinstalled & used the combo update to install the updates as it would be faster.

Now i have loads of graphic glitches which i never had before

just luck or not?

post your thoughts

I had the same problem, but on my Macbook. And it only happened after I reinstalled snow leopard and used the combo update (rather than the original to 10.6.1 then to 10.6.2).

Assuming everything else (graphics drivers) are up to date, do a "sudo periodic daily weekly monthly" in the terminal (no quotes, and it will ask for your password), let them run through, and restart and see if the situation improves. I have had some minor glitches and they seem to have fixed themselves, so I blame the periodic scripts.
