Graphics in OS X using Appleworks

I recently upgraded to the new iMac 800 with superdrive. Now when I try to open grapics from my Art explosion 250,000 grahics library I get the message unable to open this file because unable to find the program that created it.
Can anyone tell me how to open the grahics in Appleworks using OS X?
