Hopefully there isn't a thread about this already, but is it true that a macbook pro under XP cannot use both 9400M and 9600M together? If that is true, i would only able to use 256MB Vram from XP? Thanks

Once again if thats true, i just cannot justify the price of 3022 (including GST) to buy a laptop with only 256MB Vram under XP, hopefully i misunderstand whats being said because a Macbook would actually out-performed Macbook pro in Window XP SP3 because Macbook pro can only use 9600m with only 256MB Vram while Macbook can use the 9400m with 512MB under XP

and at last, why did they advertise the laptop having 512MB Vram when the user can only use one card at a time, thats false advertising!

Huh?!?! 9400M GPU outperform 9600M GPU?!?!? Maybe I'm plain stupid, but the 9600M CPU is easily at least 2x as fast as the 9400M CPU. So how can the 9400M GPU outperform the 9600M GPU?

That second paragraph needed more than one comma.

Regardless in Windows you have to use the 9600M which has 512MB of memory.

You do know that performance is not based on how much VRAM the card has? Otherwise 80% of the cards would be the same. Second, there is a 512MB Pro model as well as a 256MB one. Also, I don't see where you are getting the price of 3022 unless you are getting the 2.8 GHz which has 512MB vRAM.
