Hi all,

Not sure if the right place to post, couldn't find a better one to post my issue in!

So after 6 months of my new MBP, had issues from day one. Power adapter burned out after a month, last month or two the fans heating up for no reason even though I am only web browsing / document typing, then shuts down. Alreafy took it to genius bar and said no issue.

Tonight, it overheated again whilst just browsing the web reading articles. So I left it a half hour for a cup of tea and turned on only to find the display is messed up, see my picture below.

There is no damage to the screen externally, no cracks no nothing so I can only conclude at this moment for it to be a graphics issue?

Now before you all may say it was my fault, i've done nothing to it the lid was left open when it shut itself down. Now after some research it appears Apple refuse to do anything with display issues and no doubt costs over the odds for replacement.

I am therefore contemplating bringing a claim for a defective product, however would like to know if anyone has done this before and if so, what was the outcome? P.S I am living in the UK.

Any help would be great.
