Hey guys,

REcently I came a cross the following issue on my Late 2010 macbook pro running mac os x lion 10.7.4.

Essentially, when I start up my machine and when all the login items have been loaded and I try to access my launchpad - the icons/folders appear in front of a completely grey background rather than the usual blurred wallpaper background.

While doing some experimenting, I found that whenever my computer start up with integrated graphics the launchpad background always appears grey up till I've used the computer for about 10-15 minutes. BUt if it were to start up with discrete graphics everything is working smoothly. This i experimented by simply disabling the automatic graphics switching option under system preferences.

Can anyone please tell as to why I'm experiencing this sort of grey launchpad background problem with integrated graphics? when i fully use integrated graphics for other programs like youtueb etc. it doesn't seem to be a problem at all.

If anyone can provide some input for me on this it will greatly be appreciated :D thanks in advance
