Just wondering should I be worried about this on my 2012 cMBP running Yosemite. Does this sometimes when first starting up before or just as it's going to the log in screens. Doesn't do it every time and I don't think it's ever done it when any of us are logged in and running.

On a cursory view, it looks like your graphic card has died. For the record this is a 13' 2012 non-retina MacBook Pro?

Thanks both there. Yes 13" Macbook Pro. As I had said there there's no problem when up and running. It's nice and fast, I installed a Crucial 512gb SSD after I bought it last August, and I have installed extra ram. I may take out the extra ram and try it with just the stock Apple ram to see if that makes any difference....
