Just wondering who out there uses the Blue appearance in OS X
it seems like hardly anyone uses it, i used to but decided i like Graphite better.

For me, Leopard's colour scheme has gotten a lot darker compared to earlier versions of OS X. I find that the colourful buttons and scrollbars look quite out of place on Leopard, so I prefer the Graphite colour scheme.

Blue looks much better on earlier OS X, say Jaguar, with all the pinstripes and shiny candy buttons. :)

i totally agree, that is the exact same reason i use graphite now, the blue selection colors in the toolbar looked strange to me, with the darkness of Leopard

graphite baby! more slick and professional IMO. all the cool professionals use graphite ;) i cant stand going back to blue! the traffic lights and blue menus distract me.

Another vote for graphite. I just love graphite too much because aperture has a graphite appearance that I liked so I changed it now I love it. The blue kinda seems weird now that I notice. Oh well. *switches back to graphite*

Tried using Graphite, it makes OS X look *way* too monochrome for such a "creatively-focused" computer.

Sure Graphite does look more "professional", and if I was using one in an office, I might switch over...but for home use, give me as much color as possible :)

I like graphite and blue equally. Sometimes I make my background black, hide the dock (completely gone), make the theme graphite, and then use quicksilver for all navigation. This is my minimalist style.

Other times I get bored with minimalism and I turn blue on, throw my dock back up, put all the Apple default apps in the dock and make my background the nebula.

Blue for me too because when someone else starts a thread about the annoying green button i actually know which one they are referring too. (i never use it lol) :p

I use blue. I tried going to graphite a couple of times but it's too dull for me.

I use graphite.

The reason, of course, being that I dislike distractions – which is also the reason my "navigation" bar in my browsers only contain back/forth, url, and search (but is usually hidden away).

I don't need colours to differentiate between three buttons, and I certainly don't want a traffic light stealing attention where it isn't needed. The OS itself should be as transparent (metaphorically speaking) as possible. Hell, even my desktop background is black.

I try graphite once every 6 months, but it doesn't even last a day before I'm back with blue. I like colour. :)

I voted for blue..... went to sys pref.... changed to graphite.... changed selection color first to graphite then silver!

5 seconds and I'm back to blue!

The whole blue folders and grey scrollbar thing doesnt work for me!!!

LOL, that's not exactly "giving it a try" :p
