I am just as annoyed as the next guy that they reserved Space Black Stainless Steel for the Hermes edition, but the more I look at real videos of people unboxing the graphite, the more I start to think it's a superior finish. It just looks incredible premium, and that is strange considering I was blasting this not moments ago for being a completely different color to Space Black.

I must be too rooted in traditional mechanical watches, because I'm just not a fan. In fact, I'm getting ready to head to the Apple Store to return mine.

I just bought the graphite after selling my SBSS S5. No accurate photos of the graphite exist so I was concerned. When I opened the box I was blown away by how good it looked. I’m delighted with it.

How does it look with a link bracelet? Either SB or Silver? I haven't seen this yet.

I don’t have a link bracelet but, I do have the black Milanese loop and it looks great to me.
So you are using your old SBSS Milanese loop with the new Graphite watch. Is the contrast between the 2 colors that noticeable? I am asking because I currently love my SBSS AW4 and don't know if mixing the black loop with the graphite watch is aesthetically pleasing.

All with all, very happy with my Graphite Watch! :)

The graphite watch is still black so it matches beautifully in my opinion.

Maybe it's just the material I have been seeing, and my watch isn't due to come until tomorrow, but it doesn't look anything like black in my opinion, more of slightly darker version of the original SS AW.

I was able to post a photo. Check it out in my post above. I know. It looks more like black chrome but, in most light it appears more black. The loop has a shiny finish to it so it works when the watch is in lighting conditions which make it appear more SS.

Shenfrey, did you see the photos of my SS graphite with black Milanese loop in my post above?

Yeah I did, I think it looks really nice. Whilst I still think the space black SS and space link is the ultimate combo, I am glad the black still goes well with the graphite.

I'm a little bummed that graphite isn't as dark as space black was, especially the S5 space black titanium edition I'm replacing (pictured here on the left, with new S6 on the right), but hey, it's still pretty slick. (Plus I couldn't afford titanium again this time around...)

SBSS/link bracelet is sweet but, I couldn’t bring myself to part with that much cash for a band.

I’d actually prefer it a bit lighter myself. My SG AW is fine, but for a classier look i feel the SS silver is the way to go. Black always seemed so cheap.

Thank you for the pic! Yeah, I'm very torn between getting a refurb SBSS AW5 so I can finally get the AOD, which finally makes the AW feel like a real watch or moving to the AW6 with better internals but being handed a less desirable color option. Your pics are helping me to easy my fears. But then again, Apple does bundle the graphite SS watch with a black sport band so I feel confident that my SBSS Milanase loop should work just fine.

When I purchased the space black link bracelet brand new with the first GEN watch watch in April 2015, I was actually surprised I paid that price, given the cost is over what an Apple Watch would sell for including a new band. But if you ever are looking for something like that, there’s been quite a few third-party computers over the years offering link bands found similar to Apples, but definitely not on the level of ingenuity with the removable links. But you can find a link band that almost resembles Apples identically for a fraction of the cost, but it’s not on the level of Apples standards with the machining, ect.
