Your efforts were finally paid off! Congratulations!

I couldn't wait for 4+ months and pulled the trigger last October.

Can't say that I am not jealous...but I am really happy for you guys and for the mac community.

The new updates pretty much contain everything you have been longing for.

Yup. As somebody who waited for the Mac Pro update since August 2007, I know how it feels. Congrats. It's a great update. These Penryns are really fantastic, and I am sure that the clock speeds don't begin to reveal how great this bump really will be. Congrats!

Thats basically all MacRumors is when any new product is released. Most people on MR become children who whine about wanting a new toy and then when their parents buy them the toy they complain about it, throw it in the corner and want another toy.

When the MBA came out, we were flooded with technorati (i.e. pimply faced gamers with Dells) predicting that the Air would be a flop and should have been an EEEPC with a 2.8 quad-core, 43 hours of battery life and 11 USB3 ports and 12 FW800s.

As we can see, the MBA is a big hit, and those of us who actually have them love them.

The Early 2008 Mac Pro is the only release I can remember that inspired almost universal praise when it was announced, though even then some complained about the case.

Not congrats on waiting. Congrats, rather, on getting your new MBPs. They should be great.
 
happy with the update here aswell, most of the things I waited for, and everything that was important, even got a price cut :D
Best thing is that the wait is over though :D

Well the mac pro waiters DID complain about having to wait for 8800gt's to get in stock for their BTO machines. Then the older mac pro-ers complained that those 8800's didn't work in their machines. So really, everyone is complaining all the time, there's never an end. Long live macrumors ?
