Hi, wondering if anyone knows of a program or a way to have the non-active applications to appear dark or gray while in the background.

My goal is to 'highlight' the application currently in the fore front.

An example would be hitting f10 and some of the apps appear to be 'non active'

I just downloaded Think. Very nice.. thanks for the suggestion!

I think it will do what the OP is looking for. I'm not sure if you can hotkey it, but it's intuitive enough.
 
Oh another thought if you are on Leopard you could have each application in a different space but still this isn't exactly what you describe.
