Grayscale icon for the menu bar Keyboard & Characters viewer?

OK this might be a bit much to ask, but menu bar icon for the Keyboard & Characters viewer is in color (understandable, given they're country flags) while all the other icons are in B&W/grayscale. Is there any way to change the flags to B&W/grayscale as well? :apple:
