I needed headset to keep the noise down when I want to blast some tunes or on a plane. I wanted Blue Tooth so No Wires. I came across these newly released Meelectronic's Matrix AF62s $109.00 and thought I would give them a try. My daughter has the Meelectronics RunwayAf32 which sound great but are on ear. I wanted over the ear headsets that were small and light. I know the fade is noise cancelation but that adds weight and size. So I pick them up these AF62s, charged them for two hours. Paired with my iPhone and hear a little voice confirm "Connection". Then I paired with my MBP and heard the little voice say "Switched!" and popped in a the song Da Truth's "Legacy" http://youtu.be/0pz_09FBlII Then I tried some George Benson - Ordinary People collaboration. And to my surprise these headphones are very clear and louder than I expected. They are light, made of plastic but not real flashy. I've been testing them for almost three hours while I bounce around and I don't have sweaty ear yet. Nice feature of these phones is that if the battery dies you can use the wired connect just like standard headphones. The mic is located on the left side and works pretty well from what my wife says.on the iPhone.
I have to say these are awesome phones for the price with and advertised 18 hrs of battery time to boot. They paired with my MBP, IPAD, Cowan and iPhone without out a burp. I am very pleased they have exceeded my expectation. But they are bass centered so it may not be for everyone. The various controls are small and take some getting use to. The controls are fully iOS compatible: Volume U/D, skip, phone, voice commands everything. My wife said there is no noticeable sound leakage. Notice cancelation is accomplished the old fashion way (increase volume). The ear cup aren't for people with large ear lobes because they are smallish. The cups are comfortable. They have a cloth base and faux leather uppers which offers a good fit. But since size and weight are key for mobility these work for me. Passing my early impressions on these babies. They are a great alternative for the over priced $300+ Beats or Souls.
