I got my first Mac ever after talking on these boards. I'm in love.

So, I was on travel last week to Tucson, AZ. I had a 10% off coupon for Best Buy and was trying to find a store that would take it for the Mac. It works for just about everything else. I tried two stores here in Denver with no luck. I stopped at one store and the Apple rep was there. He said the coupon wasn't good on Apple products. I told him that the Apple store would just give me a 9 percent discount for being a Federal employee and was wondering if Best Buy could beat it. He said, without checking with anyone, that Best Buy can take off up to $100 on Macbooks and $200 on Macbook Pros.

I jumped on that offer and said, I'll take it. So, he gave me the base aluminum Macbook Pro for $1,799. But, it doesn't stop there. He printed some sort of sales receipt placeholder that I had to take up to the cashier. She rang it up and took the 10% off coupon. I walked out of there with a new Macbook Pro for $1,619.10 at Best Buy. Oh, and put it on one of their 18 month no interest credit cards for a free no interest loan for the year.

I hope that helps you guys.

Oh, and here is the 10% off coupon.
