I bought Photoshop Elements 8 a few weeks back on day 29 of my trial version.

U guys/gals considering ref book as well??
I'd like to get a decent reference book, and see there are quite a few.

I've narrowed my selections to these (2):
The Photoshop Elements 8 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) by Scott Kelby
or
Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Classroom in a Book by Adobe Creative Team.

Both $30-ish on Amazon.

Comments/suggestions?

fwiw, I already own "The Digital Photography Book, Volume 1/2/3" by Scott Kelby.
I'm aware the various online training also, desire a ref book.

I got CS4 standard for $128 via journeyed software

I only took a look through the rebate form's fine print, and I don't think it would apply, but does anyone know whether this would work for an upgrade from 6 to 8?

Does anyone know if plug-ins for Photoshop will work with Elements? I'm thinking about things like the Nik series of plug-ins for Photoshop, Lightroom and Aperture.

I don't think Photoshop Elements have upgrades like PS CS3 to PS CS4 has. I think you have to buy the whole program, but double check. :)

I am not sure if the Nik or any other plug-ins from PS CS4 will work, but from what I understand there is plug-ins for PS Elements 8. Good Luck !!! :)
