Just came across This really impressive video demonstrating how far you can push the music production capabilities of the 16” MBP:
He basically gets to the point of 40 instances each of Serum and Diva (two CPU intensive synths), all playing at highest quality and with lowest buffer, alongside 40 audio tracks before getting Logic to report a system overload error
He had previously talked about difficulties with his previous 15” MBP and thermal throttling so this of a big improvement
As he says, this is more than most anyone would do and he’s confident even the base model is going to be great for most music production needs
