now no matter what i do it asks for the 2nd cd. cant install, cant uninstall, cant use another drive. Macs are great!:p
 
Can't help you if you don't explain. Clearly you have no patience.

Mac OSX installation requires 2 DVDs. Only using one will overwrite the existing installation and leave you with a half-finished installation that doesn't work.
 
I know what he's talking about. When re-installing the OS, the installer asks for 2 CDs on older models. First for OS, second for bundled applications. Every Mac comes with 2 CDs. It's not our fault if you were careless enough to lose it.
 
you can chose not to install the added options when at the install options screen, for instance garageband is a hefty sizeable app, which you dont necessarily need for the computer to work. Trial and error i think is the way to with that option :s

Unfortunately i think thats about it.. and your right, macs are great when used correctly, and responsibly-just like any normal computer infact!! hmmm
