Yes, at last, it's happened: my USB-C to USB Adaptor is shipping!!!!!!!

Can't wait to try it out in my new 1.3 MacBook… Oh… hold on…

:..(

(Apple, you're just taking the p*ss now, aren't you?)

Kinda fed up of my hopes being raised - then dashed… :(
Great news on your adapter though.

Great news from the UK!

They should have unveiled the ADAPTER as available on the 10th during Apple's Spring Forward event. I can just envision Cook stepping out holding it for all to see proclaiming "I can barely even feel it..."

My adaptor has shipped today (to Switzerland), as well! I'm so excited. In fact, I might cancel the order for the rMB completely - just being able to see the revolutionary new USB-C connector in real life is enough for me.

OP that wasn't fair, such a tease :(

I hope you fall off your chair.

My adaptor shipped yesterday, so excited when I saw email on my watch from Apple with the word "dispatched" in it, just the flipping adaptor which will be lonely until hopefully the 8th May.

I woke up to find an email from Apple mentioning an invoice on my lock screen. I got exited for a few seconds until I found it was for my iCloud storage plan :(

Well, my adaptor arrived.

Yay.

Still, my actual MacBook order has at last switched to 'Preparing for dispatch', so that's a start. :)

Mine has finally shipped today, delivery Tuesday. Ordered the morning of 10th April.

EDIT: my actual MacBook :)

Seconds after they went live.

The last time I bought a Mac before this current one was in 2008, and even then it was not during a specific product launch so I am not completely familiar with how past launches have unfolded; has it been commonplace to order within seconds of a launch to improve chances at expedited shipping estimates and to evade availability problems? Not that it matters at the end because I am waiting on a bto, but I am curious in general. (When I did contemplate purchasing a 1.1/1.2, I honestly thought I would just sneak by on launch day while everyone was preoccupied while clamorimg over eachother for the watches).
