Good news, the HomePod update apparently did integrate with appletv , now when watching youtubetv I can request Siri to play Led Zeppelin she complies, I can’t ask her to resume youtubetv but if I select it manually it works. In a nutshell once the HomePods realize you have assigned them to appletv then it looks for music on appletv instead of getting confused..... win!
 
What? If my HomePod was set as an audio source of the Apple TV, if I ask to play music it pulls from the ATV not from the HP itself. It was always like this.
 
Not mine, Siri would just say sorry I can’t do that, I had to manually go in to music app with remote or disconnect appletv as source
