I have an external hard drive with just a bunch of backups of mine and my girlfriends music collection. It is pretty cluttered and unorganized (assume the worst lol) What are my options for organizing the content of that harddrive before I import it into my media player (I would be using iTunes but I'm open to any other suggestions for OSX with a great reason) There's about 67 GB worth and i'm sure theres also plenty of duplicates. What would be the fastest and easiest way to organize these files?

I don't know the best way to organize stuff on your harddrive - I think that'll depend on how it is right now... But even if you indiscriminately add it all to iTunes, there's this nifty feature called "Display Duplicates" in the file menu which can help you get rid of any doubles.
